To enable Glamor, run sudo raspi-config, choose Advanced Options and enable Glamor graphic accleration. On Pi 3 and earlier devices it will be necessary to enable Glamor if you want to use the preview window implementations that run under X-Windows. Moreover you can run the GitHub version of Picamera2 by cloning it and adding /home/pi/picamera2 to your PYTHONPATH variable (assuming you cloned it to /home/pi). This README file and a set of numerous small examples can be found in the GitHub repository. Should you want to rebuild libcamera from source, please follow these instructions.
